For this mix, we have selected the seeds with one important property: they are all rich off omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. These multiple unsaturated fatty acids contribute for instance to a lower cholesterol grade. Chia seed and line seed contain in comparison much omega-3 fatty acids, while sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and sesame seed contain more omega-6. Besides that, they contain also many important vitamins and minerals, among which vitamin B6, iron and magnesium. Pumpkin seeds are very rich of proteins and fibers. These are so-called 'complete' proteins, what means that they contain all essential amino sours. They contain also much magnesium, potash and iron. Sesame seed contains nutritional fibers, what is important for a healthy digestion, and is very rich of iron and calcium. Chia seed contains also much thiamine (vitamin B1) and niacin (vitamin B3). These are two of the five most important vitamins. Everyone can find their favorite combination of seeds, nuts and dried fruit in our broad selection of different salad mixes.
