Penne is a form of pasta having the shape of elongated tubes that are cut off diagonally at an angle of 30 or 45 degrees mostly. Normally, it is eaten warm with a tomato/meat sauce, but it can also be used in a cold salad. Penne is the plural form of the Italian word penna, that means ''feather'' in Latin. Pasta is arisen independently in diverse cultures and dispersed in the whole world from there. It is a dough product, made from hard grains, especially hard wheat, that can be diluted in diverse forms. Our pasta is made of the whole grain kernels of durum wheat. This contains complex carbohydrates and fibers that provide a good intestinal function. They give a satiated feeling, that lasts longer after your meal. It is also a good source of vitamin B, iron and proteins.
