Coffee with a rich, deep aroma and a lovely hint of sweet cocoa and roasted nuts. Its fantastic background story and strong body makes this a special cup of coffee. This espresso roast is perfect for cappuccino, espresso or ristretto.
The coffee: about 25% of the coffee is produced by women. They live in areas where inequality, poverty and abuse are commonplace. In 2004, more than 460 women in Peru were united to emancipate and improve their future. They started growing their own organic Fairtrade coffee: café Femenino. The café Femenino project helps nowadays more than 1500 women in Middle- and South America to emancipate themselves and earn their bread.
The process: coffee beans are plucked in 3 to 5 rounds, then the beans are washed with clear water and sun dried. The coffee beans arrive 'green' at IDorganics, where they are perfectly roasted by our coffee roaster via the "slow roast process". The whole process from bean to coffee remains in the hands of women.
