Bulgur is a grain product that is being made from wheat. The wheat grains are steamed, dried and afterwards, pulverized. The format of the bulgur grains is dependent on the grinding process of the wheat. This bulgur is rather coarse in structure, which keeps it firm even after cooking. Bulgur is an important food ingredient in the Middle-East, It is a common dish in Tabouleh for instance. Bulgur contains lot of fibre and protein. It is also an excellent source of several minerals like magnesium, manganese and phosphorus. Bulgur contains gluten because it is made of wheat.
