Agave syrup works as a substitute for honey, making it suitable for vegan cooking. It is as sweet as honey, with slightly thicker texture. It is extracted from blue agave plant.
Agave syrup is a fructose syrup. It is obtained by the physical process of extraction and purification of naturally occurring inulin in the agave plant, followed by a heat hydrolysis process. IDorganics agave syrup is made from 100% organic Salmiana agave.
The syrup is subject to slight discolorisation over time as a result of natural reactions. This does not influence the quality or shelf life of the product.
